Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Teamplay, a browser-based multiplayer party game platform available at teamplay.team ("Service"). By creating a room, joining a game, or purchasing a subscription or event pass, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Teamplay lets a group of players join a shared game session by scanning a QR code with their phones, which act as controllers, while the game is displayed on a shared screen. Teamplay currently offers three games: a snake battle game, a collaborative drawing-and-guessing game, and a trivia quiz game.
2. Accounts
Hosting a game session may require creating an account (via email/password or Google sign-in). You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
3. Plans and Payment
Teamplay offers a free tier and paid tiers (a monthly Pro subscription and a one-time Pay-per-event pass), as described on our pricing page. Payments are processed by our authorized reseller, Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles billing, taxes, and payment card processing on our behalf; your purchase is subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms in addition to these Terms.
4. Subscription Renewal & Cancellation
The Pro plan renews automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. The Pay-per-event pass is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Teamplay to:
- Upload, submit, or transmit content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or infringes on someone else's rights;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other players' sessions;
- Use the Service for any purpose that violates Paddle's Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Content Submitted by Players
In the drawing and trivia games, players may submit drawings, names, or custom quiz content during a session. This content is transient — used only to run that game session — and is not permanently published or shared outside the room.
7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teamplay is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
